The impact is that with the layer of windows, 3DS will not run as
fast as without windows. ie. if you have a production facility, you will
not want to do this because of the impact on rendering times.
The other impact is that Vibrant has worked very hard to provide
and test a suite of drivers for various cards under DOS. These
drivers are not guarenteed for windows. Please see the references
on pg. 98 of the installation manual for a full review of the restrictions
of running 3DS under windows.
