The best way to go about this problem is to get hold of an IBM formatted disk (720k). Then get hold of CROSS DOS (or a similar program, there are similar programs in the libraries on CIS in the various Amiga sections). What Cross Dos does is allow you to read PC formatted disks in a standard amiga diskdrive. Put the PC disk in a drive that you have activated with cross dos, say the first drive. Then and save the file he wants to convert in an ASCII text, or generic text. Then copy open the window in workbench of the PC disk and the wiindow the file is saved under and copy it across. Then go to the PC and load it in as normal, using an ASCII or generic load option. A few characters are usually gone wrong, and the set up is usually up the pole but with a bit of sorting it should be alright. —Richard Daniel.
