Jim- Much though I wish it were otherwise, I'm afraid you will have no luck convincing them. Companies are unlikely to part with trade secrets. They will also be skeptical of the market. If they thought the market was worthwhile they'd probably prefer to do the port themselves and thus realize the profits themselves. Also, they'll know that WordPerfect failed. Admittedly, WordPerfect failed because they charged an exhorbitant price for a program that was flawed and slow and poorly designed and behind its other versions for all that it had millions of features, but those companies aren't likely to understand this, or the details of the Amiga market. Furthermore, most of those companies probably made it to power by being paranoid, so even if you managed to conclusively prove to them that your offer would be profitable to them they still probably wouldn't take you up on it. I don't know what you -would- have to offer to make them take you up on it. I think Steve Ahlstrom once offered to port Quicken at no charge and was refused. So I can offer you no constructive advice. But certainly asking them won't cost you anything, so definitely, by all means, offer. You never know. Good luck. Paul
