Welcome to the wonderful world of wireless. These mics can be a blessing or a curse. What are you referring to as a "good" wireless? There's a bundle of different frequencies and price ranges. Less expensive mics tend to be on more crowded frequencies. (What will you be using?) Some recievers have a squelch feature to allow you to exclude unwanted stuff. Some systems have switchable frequencies. General tips: Try to stay line of sight with the transmitter and receiver and preferably not too far away (then again, you are taping this so this may be a moot point). Start with brand new batteries. Make sure the transmitter stays ON. Tape the switch. If the reciever's got a good strong local signal it's much less likely to go looking for another. Monitor the audio as you record. Go ahead of time and do a test if possible. This won't identify all possible problems, but will help to find stuff that's always there. There's a lot of stuff out there on the airwaves, enough to scare some people off. On the other hand, wireless mics can get you audio that you couldn't otherwise. Hope this has been of some help.
