Nope. The 4×36, (parity SIMMs) are what IBM/Clone computers use, so that
is where the mass market is. And assuming that most other computers can
ignore the extra parity bits (like the A1200/4000), it is cheaper to make
one large batch of paritied SIMMs than two separate batches of paritied &
non-paritied SIMMs.
