re: mac/pc ports: I hate to enter this fray, but I agree strongly with John and believe that people are overlooking one important thing. Why would a PC/Mac developer want their products ported to the Amiga, even at no charge? The response we're hearing here is that they'll get all these extra sales for no work. Well, their opinion is that they'll get all these extra sales for no work by just doing nothing. If the Amiga disappears, then they don't have to worry about even porting their software, because they assume you'll all buy their products on the PC and Mac. Why would they want another platform to worry about? This is not to say you can't convince a Mac or PC developer to port something with incentives; it's been done before. Atari got a Microsoft Write ported at one time. But the conditions that make it possible do not exist here. This is kind of self-serving, but I recommend you support your Amiga software developers, who actually care about the platform. Michael
