If they feel that their trade secrets are too valuable to risk in the hands of outside programmers, perhaps they would be open to being "hired" to produce a port. In otherwords, their programmers would have their salaries paid by the new Amiga corp. to produce the port. In that way they would not loose control of their technology, and at the same time have no financial risk, in doing the engineering to make it fly on the Amiga.
