To : All those parties interested in ATC's Subject : New Pricing Policies for ATC's from Autodesk "Membership has its Advantages" Autodesk can not even be original about their slogan! Have any of you ATC guys looked closly at the new pricing policies that Autodesk LSG is implementing? Who came up with this policy? And, why didn't the ATC Executive Committee contact the ATC's to let them know what was going on? $5,000 per year! Do you get more than 6 workstations? What about AutoCAD LT? This may be fine for the larger ATC's, but what aboutthe smaller ATC's. Is Autodesk is out to follow in the foot steps of NOVELL? What about the the certified Autodesk Materials / Resources. What if I don't want to use your materials as they are too high in cost! How much additional does the ATC have to pay Autodesk for the certified materials on top of the Annual ATC fee? This is going to increase the cost of "certified" training! Is Autodesk is creating a monopoly on both training and trainining materials? Notice that the ATC's have not, not will not have an opprotunity to voice their option! The ATC meeting traditionally held at AEC Systems in June will be at Autodesk University in October. the new contracts will start around May 31 to July 1. No discussion, No Input! Autodesk is acting like a BILLION dollar company now, looking for new ways of increasing their business at the expense of others.
