Dave, With Quarterback you can get fairly high data transfer rates when backing up to tape. When doing a file backup we get over 5 megs a minute going to Commodore's 3070 or our own Touchdown 100 tape drive, which is pretty much the max transfer rate of the drives. With faster tape drives we get even higher rates. If you are using Quarterback (or for others out there who are), you can get the fastest tape backup times by turning on the "No display while operation in progress" check box (in the "Session Log" requester).
