>> Cross platform is the new catch word. This was not the case even 3 years ago. Word Perfect tried it about 6 years ago. They ran big ads on how their product would run on everything some day, and have file compatibility. There were Word Perfect versions for Mac, Unix, OS/2 (native), Apple IIgs, Atari ST, and Amiga. The Apple II gs, Amiga, Atari ST versions were dropped. The OS/2 native version has been suspended. I don't know what is going on with the Unix version, and Windows has been added. (The Windows version has some _serious_ problems. Try opening and closing WP Windows version a number of times, and you will eventually run out of memory.)
