Since there seems to be so little info around here about CBM, I'll put in my two cents: CBM is not dead, but the cause of the problem (those two execs) are gone. CBM Canada is still running, as are the German, French, and International. The staff for each is skeleton crew right now, while legal issues are being sorted out. U.S. orders are being helped along by CBM Canada's stock. Manufacture of the Amiga line is on hold until the new owner takes over. Yes, according to several reports, there are alot of investors eager to take over with the intent of concentrating on the Amiga technology and dropping the PC-compatible line. One of the biggest investors is a nameless asian who has the $$$ and who wants to develop and market the Amiga properly. The owner/developer of Emplant is another who is willing and eager to join forces with other investors/developers to take over production of the Amiga. I had read oodles of messages from Internet by these and others about what is proposed to handle the Amiga. Seems that the potential owners are less apathetic about the future of the Amiga than alot of the Amiga owners are. I'm not worried. There's been too much interest from these business's not to feel optimistic. If anyone wants this info, I can ul it. Although, I'm sure alot has happened since these messages were first made. -= Vance =- Image Master Flying high on Black Belt Systems' Imagemaster R/t!
