The fastest protocol is Y-modem G if you are using an MNP modem and can get an
MNP link. Z-modem is the fastest in most other modes, and it supports crash
recovery. The modem will spit out a result code for the modem speed when get
connected with another modem — This may have to be initialized in your setup
string (verbal result codes) –
