You tend to forget the average Amiga owner, is not the average computer purchaser. I don't know how many owners of IBM's and Mac's have told me they do not want to ever open their boxes. They buy them configured, and when they want to do something else, a large precentage of them buy a new machine. Peripherals are things they think the dealer adds, much like options on your car. Amiga, sadly, has run full circle in the minds of some of the press. It started out as a "hackers" machine, too advanced for the average user. Went to a game machine, with little respect. And now I read in the obits, that it was too technical for most people. Funny thing is that everyone who I was able to get near one, bought one. Once you demonstrate what good multitasking is, they are hooked. Problem was, that your average, play a game, non modem using, person has no use for multitasking. Get a heavy duty modemer near one, and as soon as they see they can do somehting else during a 45 minute download, they want one.
