Dear bob, you might not have realized it yet, but society has come to a point where we CANNOT AFFORD TO LET EVERYBODY DO WHAT THEY WANT! There are too many humans out there; the world is getting too small, we need another form of living and coping together. I AM NOT A COMMUNIST!! I'd refer to myself as a socially aware CAPITALIST trying to do the best for everybody and not only working for my own good! Believe it or not, there are several grayzones between the extreme capitalist and the extreme communist. Just take a close look at russia for example: What has happened to their social system? It completely broke down; they're worse off than EVER! I didn't hear anybody say: too bad, the experiment failed; all I heard was GREAT now they're the same we are, but are they? No! We let them down by saying we've got our own probs, arrange yourselfes. This cannot have a happy ending! >"Altruism is incompatible with freedom, with capitalism and with individual rights. One cannot combine the pursuit of happiness with the moral status of a sacrificial animal."< Gee! where the hell did you get your notion of altruism infiltrated? Boot camp or the Marine corps? I partially agree and understand Murphs' point of view, but yours seems VERY UNcritical about yourself. >Your strong opposition to capitalism is a slap in the face to all of the Americans here on the forum. < If you feel slapped in your face I can't help it; maybe you should check on yourself why you cannot bear criticism. No offense; but you really asked for it! (and please don't forget to smile, it sometimes feels good to have some distance to yourself. ;-}) c ya -B [INside Corp.]
