That depends on their investment. I develop software and hardware and so have
a large investment in PC and Amiga. Instead of buying a new PC every two
years, I re-build / upgrade my own. I also try to buy SCSI and now IDE disk /
tape / CD-ROM so that these items are useable on both platforms. Many people
will either keep their computer for several years and do things like word
processing, other people will expand their use of computers and want to
upgrade. The people who wish to upgrade may be the likely candidates for
switching platforms. HarryM
