Well, John – You are pretty gracious (though I still don't agree with you). I am one of those people who "can't" talk if you make me sit on my hands, and "won't" talk to someone wearing sunglasses – this is a perilous medium for me. (BTW- how does one indicate italics used for emphasis?). I owe you a blow-by-blow, cogent response – so I won't rush into print this time. The issues I would like to pursue *at some point*, (and expect that I will make liberal use of };-/ …I added horns), are "minimum physical/technological requirements for space travel", "common social/political preconditions for space travel (if any)", and that great philosophical/moral issue of the difference between "can" and "should" (with it being pretty much a given that if we can, we undoubtedly will, whether or not we should). However – since I appear not to be as highly efficient as other people who hang out here and still get work done <g> , I'm going to have to wait on this conversation till I deal with a few dozen current work crises. };-/ Gayle G de N
