How does that number translate to K?<< AVAIL, displays the number of BYTES. If you divide by 1024, you will be given the approximate number in Kilobytes. Divide again by 1024, to get the approximate number of Megabytes. 8 bits = 1 byte 1024 bytes = 1 Kilobyte 1024 kilobytes = 1 Megabyte 1024 megabytes = 1 Gigabyte Its a metric system based on 8 & 1024, instead of 10 & 1000.
