(Ah! My gawdess!) WHAT A WRITER you are Ron! Ronald, Thank you. What a fine message! I think I actually understand it or at least what you've said makes sense to me. <g> You've actually answered many of the questions I've put in my replies to Betty and Richard, plus expanded my Amigese vocabulary. 🙂 PAD, COPPER, BLITTER, CLUT, CIA, PLCC <blink> (Sounds like a litter of kittens some of my wierd friends have.) Dip chip? Ranch, please 🙂 Anyway, the only acronym I readily recall is ECS. Thanks for the magic word, "showconfig." After reading your message, I went directly to cli and typed it. <ah HA!> MAX: has an ECS NTSC Agnus id=$0030 and a "normal Denise". No mention of Paula or Gary but I do have $205 worth of fast RAM and $303 worth of chip RAM. (2 and 1 meg respectively) I take it one doesn't add "fast" to "chip" any more than one can add apples to oranges even though it LOOKS like more. <g> So, tell me, do the famous Amos family chips contain fast AND chip or only fast OR chip RAM? Or neither, in which case the family chips have nothing to do with RAM? (Oh, oh… I think I'm lost again, and you didn't even ask me to do any math yet.) Am I correct in deducing that MAX: has neither Paula nor Gary? Or are they so thin or normal that they may be standing behind Agnus and not be seen? Perhaps they are in the CIA and using an alias. <g> …from the "information movement between the ports" Vicki PS– Jet engines are no place for eagles OR weasels.
