Roger, The person at Media Innovations is Martin Ricketts. He is in London, Ontario (Canada) at 519-434-3210. He is in the consulting/sales business so I am not sure how much free advice he can give. From what I can see so far, laser disk is reasonable way of storing video and doing "calls" from Scala. There are work arounds the .7 or so access times (worst case) by have an invisible Go to call to the right place on the disk while something else is on the screen. My partner's concerns are that you cannot really do any special effects (that you can get in Toaster) and that unless the disk is rewritable (which of course is much more expensive) one will be very nervous about what video you store on the disk. Anyways, I am still looking for that magic, low cost solution. I am curious about what you learn about laser disk as you move along.
