It's definitely a gamma problem. You didn't mention if the Lumena files were
Targa files. If so, perhaps Lumena is embedding bogus gamma data. In addition
to the other suggestions, you might try turning off the USE-TGA-GAMMA setting
in the 3ds.set file and see how that affects things.
