I never tried anything quite that organic in nature and was amazed at how something so simple to create could look so detailed. As you probably noticed in the book, there really wasn't too much to it. <<…I was wondering if the wings just flicker from all the way up to all the way down or is there some kind of "tweening"…>> I experimented with different ways to animate the bee's wings. I found that anything other than an alternating pattern of full up to full down tended to make the bee look as though it were flapping it's wings like a bird (ie too much noticeable motion). In fact, even the alternating pattern made the bee appear to be buzzing around in slow motion (or filmed with a high speed camera). What it really needs is a nice motion blur between the two postions. <<Is tweening possible?>> You bet, and Imagine does a very nice job with tweening (or morphing).
