Sam,
Is tweening possible? GUUURL, can WE TUHLK!
One of Imagine's strengths is that it allows you to morph just about any aspect
of an object. For example:
Morphing textures: Add a grid texture to your object, with a grid spacing of
20, line width of 0 and grid filter of (255,255,255). Save the object as
"visible", or use a state if you have Imagine 2.9 or 3.0. Change the grid line
width to 20, and translate the grid axes by (-10,-10,-10) to compensate. Save
as "invisible". Load "invisible" into your scene, and morph it into "visible"
over several frames. Presto, a neat-o way to make objects appear.
Morphing lights: Create an outdoorsy scene (any object, resting on a green
ground with the Pastella texture to give the green various shades). Add a light
source behind the camera and to the left at frame 1; in Action, change its
actor bar to frames 1 to 1 only, and its color to (255,240,192). Then add
another lightsource from frames 2 to 10; change its color to (192,100,0). In
Stage, go to frame 10, move the lightsource just below the ground and select
Object/Position bar. You have just created a rudimentary sunset. (Make sure
"Cast shadows" is turned on for both lights, and render in trace mode)
