I think you're right. In fact, you can see numerous examples in CBM's
behaviour with the Amiga system that contributed a great deal to the lack
of serious software: Some things that come immediately to mind are the NON
installation of ARexx on released systems, even recently; the lack of
Amigas with hard drives, standard, for way way too long… things like
that. I guess it's no longer a problem, though.
