I bought an Epson ES-600C flatbed scanner. Sort of expensive, and I'm not sure I could justify buying it except that I wanted it, so I got it. I've only done a very few pictures, but I do plan to upload them here because they are of people who participate here, and I think people would like them. I took most of them at Devcon in Orlando, January 1993. In time I will learn to do better scans, to make touchups to get rid of glares here and there, etc., but not yet. Right now, I'm just delighted to get the picture onto the screen. I scanned in the pictures which is always done in 24-bit color, then sent them out in .GIF format, and that's the format I'll upload. I think I'll love the scanner as I learn more about using it and the software that goes with it. —Betty
