Vicki, You can transfer any kind of files from Amiga disk format to MSDOS format using CrossDOS. You can't run the programs, but you can transfer the disk format so the other machine can read the data. For .GIF pictures, a GIF viewer on both machines would make the pictures viewable on both machines, directly from the disk formatted for the machine. You can even download binary files, move them from one disk format to the other, and then extract them on the other machine and run them. I download everything to my Amiga, but if I download something for the Toshiba notebook which requires MSDOS, I then make an MSDOS disk and use CrossCOS to move them over to the notebook – programs, pictures, text files, or whatever. I haven't seen Amazing Amiga lately. Maybe you should write something for them to print? This is one on which I cannot comment much. —Betty
