It's kind of embarrasing, but I've become quite a PAR convert in the last week. The artifacting is noticable, but only to the trained eye. The ease of use more than makes up for the added noise. (I just wired up a splitter cable to run the S-Video out into the Chroma/Luma inputs on my 1084 monitor and it looks _BEAUTIFUL_; almost as good as RGB – not a hint of chroma artifacting like you'd see on the Toaster output. [Again, ahead of the pack, Amiga monitors supported S-Video _BEFORE_ it was a standard. Betcha didn't know that?!])_ While you mention you can't afford it for what is mainly a hobby, the PAR is probably the cheapest way to move into the realm of truly professional video graphics.
