For the RISC based rendering engines, we already have a product which will
do what you're describing. It's called "WinImages:F/x". The version 2.0 is
in the process of being released (not quite yet, but we're within about a
day now, I think) and it has fantastic timeline capabilities, etc. which
can be used to handle bluescreening and more.
I'll pass along the suggestion for IM R/t in the meantime.
