Steve: Ghosting on these monitors is usually caused be improper
shielding on your cable. Most of the cheap monitor cables sold are
single shield cable. The best monitor cable should be ISP which is
Individual Shielded Pair. The type of cable would have a reference
of 3ISP plus 2 which is an ISP for each of R, G, & B plus H sync and
V sync which do not require shielding. All of the cables are then
jacketed in an overall shield. In addition the cable should have
ferrite chokes at both the monitor end and the card end. I had quite
a problem with this on my monitor / keyboard switch box until I
resorted to this method of ISP throughout including the switch. It
was quite a job custom wiring it all but was worth it to get rid of
the annoying ghosts.
