MacroSystem switch
In response to Wolf Fausts posting, since I'm not sure that too many
people are aware of the recent changes concerning MacroSystem in the US,
>> Yes, I can back this up and it's not only MicroPace ripping off users
and suppliers (for instance take MacroSystem US,…)…. <<
I spoke with Eric Kloor of NoahJi's today, (303) 499 1975, which is the
company now distributing MacroSystem Germany's products in the US,
including the Retina boards, VLab, Toccata etc. Towards the end of next
month NoahJi's intends to offer the >> VLab Motion << board with "Movie
Shop" software, from MacroSystem Germany. The new package will be selling
for around $1750 and is a non-linear motionJPEG editor. Initial supplies
will probably be limited in quantity.
Some of the features Eric descrided:
Zorro II
Compression/transfer rates from 200kb/s up to 2.5mb/s-"negligeable loss"
Genlock with chroma keying
Composite & Y/C in & out
Timeline editing interface, also allowing output via Toaster
Uses existing hardware (hard-disks, controlers) for storage/playback
If the maximum quality of playback described is really available with only
2.5mb/s of transfer speed it may prove a very attractive proposition.
