Zac, I just purchased the Sony 17se last month and drive it with a Viper. The monitor and picture are some of the best I've seen (IMHO). The controls are up front and easy to use. I looked at the NEC and although I liked the screen image the glare was terrible, and I'm afraid the OPTIONAL glare filter would have taken away what I liked about it (not to mention the additional cost). I must say that I don't know how I worked with a 14" screen for so long. 3DS run at 1024 (and Windows) look great and are rock steady. The only question I have is about the color temperature control and where I should set it.
