Videomedia can provide a flexible solution for single frame editing animations to video tape and also editing the animations tape to tape. V-LAN interfaces are used to link the computer with the video tape decks. V-LAN controls professional decks for single frame editing, and less expensive prosumer decks can be used for the source. Autodesk supports the V-LAN driver from within 3D Studio. The same hardware can be used with OZ. OZ is a Windows or Macintosh software program that provides professional video editing features. Using the DPS PAR as a source is another solution. OZ can GPI trigger the PAR to frame accurately record an animation. You can select where on the record tape you want it, OZ will keep an edit decision list so if you need to make changes to the animation later, a record is saved of the in and out points.
