Hmmm, I'm not sure I follow the idea of 'max file handles'. There are many
different ways of opening files, according to whether you want to use AmigaDOS,
ANSI, UNIX etc compatible routines.
I prefer to use the AmigaDOS routines, and I've got a monster program that
opens lots of files. I haven't found a limit yet. I'm not sure what the exact
figure is, but I think that I have 200-300 files open simultaneously!
