Hey, I'm not John, but I'd like to offer some ideas…and John, tell me if I'm
right or wrong!
1) If you notice, you only see the front half of the head, so a simple method
would be to light the face head on, and grab a video frame. Then, the face
could be mapped on to the front half of the head (Renammed,of course) and the
rear of the head is made a dark tone to blend into the shadows.
2)OR, with careful planning, you could grab 3 images, the left side of the
face, the front, and the right side of the face. Because the face is a
|
|cylinder, you would map each image onto its proper named side, using
cylindircal mapping.
To further mess things up, you could cut the head into sections, and add
rounded sides to each section. Then, after maping, blend in the edges by using
edge transparency. This would feather the sections of "skin" into one another.
