I've delayed answereing this because I've been at Comdex all week. 🙂 I asked about that cable at all the cable suppliers and they just drew a blank! I guess your best bet is to do what I did and custom build them. I bought the cable from a local supply house but it can be purchased atr any large Electronics supply like Newark Electronics. The cable is also common to the A/V business and is used to feed RGB to video projectors from computers. Check with your local A/V service companies. The solder type (I don't like crimp type) DB15 High density can be obtained from Markertek. or Newark Elect. While Evan is correct is using the cable with BNC connectors it still won't do if you have DB15 HD at each end. IDEK vs. NEC? I think you asked about this troo. I chose it because of the screen glare constantly gave me a headache. The Idek was easy on the eyes after long viewing periods. I saw a comparison of the new 17' IDEK at Comdex and they had it side by side with several others and the Nanao had it beat. Of course at 1275 vs 799 the price was much higher. The Nec had richer reds but still suffers tremendous screen glare. Of course if viewing in a darke room this would'nt be a problem. Also the IDEK has a much smaller volume for a given screen size than the NEC which is also a consideration here. It has separate BNC and DB15 jacks that is switchable from the front panel. The new IDEK also has the color cal. and memory capability. If I had to choose a new monitor, though, I would spring for the Nanoa 21 inch which had the sweetest picture I have ever seen.
