I am glad you were able to figure out that the 75Hz worked. This is a
new one on me, but it probably won't be the last time I run into this
issue.
Your slow loading – is this connected with the 75Hz thing, do you
think? I would experiment with different bootups. It's possible
that using EMM386 could slow things down. (I know it can with DOS 6
and AAPro but this may not apply here since the Phar Lap versions are
different.) Try a plain boot, then start 3DS after loading your
mouse and see if that's faster. If you're running EMM386, experiment
with the switches on the EMM386 line.
