Can anyone compare the relative merits of the A2091 with another SCSI
controller (for instance the GVP 4008)? I am having trouble connecting the
cheap CD-ROM drive I purchased from Creative Computers ($150.00). Sometimes
the drive will mount correctly and othertimes the 'SCSI controller' will hang.
I always unable to boot with the drive plugged in but not on. I am unable to
boot with the drive plugged in, on, but with no disc. Are CD-ROMs supposed to
always be rotating when installed (mine do not always do so). Is this a problem
with my drive or the controller? Thanks for any reply.
