Yes, they (Dell) actually DO manufacture PCs. They (according to chief or
spokesman in an interview) would prefer to sell only higher-class (above the
$3,000 price barrier) PCs and leave the budget segment to the competition.
Having said that, the Amiga would have made sense for them as a sort of
entry-level computing platform which, because of the low(ish) price, wouldn't
actually compete with other products of the same manufacturer… (Just my $0.02
worth)
