What you might be thinking of is that, if you've marked some faxes for
retrieval (while in remote access for example), terminating the call (which is
what star does) causes the faxes to be transmitted before ending the call. But
that's a caller RECEIVING faxes; as I understood Jonathan's question, he wants
to SEND faxes to PhonePak. As in someone manually dialing his number from a
fax machine. (Most machines don't send out the CNG tone when dialed manually,
and without that signal PhonePak can't tell it's a fax when it first answers).
