Most modems will work with the A2000. I'm using a Supra 14.4 FAX modem on
my 2000 at the moment and it works just fine. There are several nice terminal
programs out that will serve him well, two of the best are Terminus and Term.
If your friend wishes to connect to CIS, AutoPilot is invaluable!
