You want to get OS3.1 for your A2000. Maybe upgrade it to ECS if it is not already, unless you buy a 24bit video board. An accelerator+ram+scsi2 board would be good, with as much ram/disk and processor power as you can afford. Unfortunately I don't know of too many low end upgrades, I only drool over the expensive ones. But get the OS3.1 a hard drive (preferably SCSI or SCSI2 and if you You might be able to get an 020 or 030 pretty cheap I suppose though. Other big problem is that I cannot remember the exchange rate, so I cannot quite think how much 500 dollars is :). OS3.1 will work on any hardware, even an a1000 if you can get it to fit. Everthing else is to make the machine "nice" to use. I remember using floppies, uurgh. Phill
