I don't know for sure… If the Chinese adopt the Japanese model of
protecting the areas where they can't compete, and then competing where
they can, they could pull it off.
The biggest draw back I see, is that there is not any world class major
buisness software for the Amiga. Networks for the Amiga are not at the
level of the dos machines. All this infrastructure would have to be built
to use the Amigas, or any non-standard format computer effectively in
large businesses.
However, if for some reason the government insisted on it, they would
probably manage to create the software, etc. Funny the things you can do
with a centralized government. (And a death sentence for disagreement…
