The "I think" in your message is obviously an oxymoron.
Commodore began as a typewriter and business machine repair service
in the late 1940's. They never manufactured a typewriter. They were,
however, one of the first manufacturers of electronic calculators, an
early acquirer of CMOS manufacturing capability and even operated a
chain of calculator boutiques.
