Dave,
>I have seen 540 Meg SCSI drives advertized for about $260. This drive is SCSI
2. My question is, can this SCSI 2 drive be used by my SCSI controller in my
A3000, or do I have to find a SCSI 1 drive?
To the best of my knowledge you can use a SCSI II drive with a SCSI I
controller. I'm doing so. Of course you won't get all the SCSI II features
but it should work just fine. You didn't mention which drive you were planning
to buy, however…. I'm using a Seagate with my old Series II (GVP) and have
had no problems.
