Help!
Last week I bought a Quantum LT730S (Lightning). When I tried to install it
with the tool (EvoInstall) that comes with by host adaptor (Evolution 3.0) the
program realized that there was no RDB. Then I clicked on the button "Install"
which prbably tried to write an RDB onto the disk. I didn't partition the
drive. Since then my host adaptor (and every program that tries to read the
RDB) hangs as soon as it gets to the drive. The installation program says
"Searching for RDB" and is never heard of again. I tried a lowlevel format but
apparently the Quantum doesn't do anything. One of the tools that come with
Evolution tells me all about the drive (which is ok) but also lists all blocks
as "defective".
Apparently something resembling an RDB was written to disk but can't be read
properly so everything hangs when trying to read it.
What can I do??? Please?
Thank you for your help!
