>Is there patenting of code now (?) In the US, it's possible to patent code, but this is not true in some other countries. It hink the question here is about copyright, however. I have heard German publishers claim (after making knockoff copies of software from North America) that software copyrights are not enforceable in Germany. I don't know if this is true or not, but the parties involved at the time did NOT pursue copyright infringement action (they beefed a lot to anyone who would listen, but no legal action). –Jim
