#Stupid Workbench tricks
Has anyone else ever had this problem?
I was trying to use Superview to convert a DPaint brush to a GIF for a friend
with a PC, and after loading the file I hit the *lower left* save button. Of
course, when the requestor asked me what to name the file, I used a ".GIF"
extension. Then, when I tried to view my handiwork, it appeared that nothing
had happened! Where was my artwork?!? It took me a full 20 minutes to figure
out that I had saved my workbench as a 'GIF' picture… (if this hasn't
happened to you, feel free to have a few laughs at my expense).
PS> I was using an old picture called Road.4 (from the ScanLab 100 disk that
came with my Sharp JX-100 scanner) as a workbench backdrop. It is a picture of
the desert highway stretching out in the distance with city lights just over
the next rise and the full moon above. Looks very slick indeed with MagicWB
harddrive icons. Does anyone know if this pic is likely to be copyrighted? If
not, I'll upload it here or in AmigaArts.
