I agree with you – the day is coming fast when CD-ROM (or the new, improved
technology that will replace it) will be on everyone's desk/table/nite
stand.
But I'm a little curious …
"And that day is coming fast. I just saw, at our local Sam's Club
wholesaler, 2 MPC systems with CDROM, sound card, and 3 disks
(encyclopedia, Wing Commander/Ultima combo, and another) for $299. Now
_that's_ cheap!" For "MPC systems" – you mean multimedia upgrade kits,
don't you? A "system" in this context, to me anyhow, includes a computer.
(I'm not spliting hairs <<well, maybe just a little>> – I'm leaving for
Sam's with my checkbook!).
