Hmm … I have the book. I will ATTEMPT creating my own models, and I will make use of the tutorial. Though I do not consider myself lazy, nor uncreative, I find it much more convinient finding pre-made 3d Studio messages, for I, at the tender age of 12, and not owning 3d Studio for much more than two weeks (Though I've been able to create nice animations!) have not grasped the fundamentals of modeling.
