Sherwood,
We have worked through several problems that you reported to us with LenZFX and
I have some info for you. You called these 'bugs' but they have turned out to
be user error. Please be careful when you call something a bug without working
the problem through as it gives a false impression. Anyway let address the
three problems.
1. LenZFX doesn't work with 2D Faces.
LenZFX does work with flat 2D objects. The only exception to this might be if
you have a 1 sided material and you're looking at it from the side without the
normal in which case the object would be invisible to 3D Studio and LenZFX. We
have tested multiple 2D objects with AURA and STARLITE and it works just fine.
2. If an element is detatched from an object it can't be glowed by LenZFX.
We could not reproduce that at all. We detatched single and multiple faces from
objects and they glowed fine everytime. We detached elements from objects and
they also glowed fine everytime.
3. If you create one camera in a scene with a visible light and render with
another camera where the light is invisible you still see a lens flare.
This happens if you select the wrong camera inside LenZFX. CameraA has a
visible light. CameraB does not. Inside LenZFX you tell FLARE that you want to
flare a light from CameraA. Now if you render from CameraB from Video Post you
will see a flare because you told LenZFX to calculate the lights position based
on the view of CameraA. This is simple enough to fix. If you want to render
from CameraB, make sure that you tell LenZFX.
If you are still having problems, call our tech support line or EMAIL us an
.LZF file and we'll have a look.
