Depending on how serious you are about real time shading you might want to check out the new Evans & Sutherland Freedom Graphics board. It is PCI based, fully OpenGL compatible, cranking out 300,000 fully shaded triangles per second running under NT. At around $2,500 I haven't heard of anything that can touch it. That said, we do not yet have one and I do not know what compatibility issues currently exist. E&S claim full compatibility with Pentium, MIPS and Power PC systems through NT. If 3DS r5 does go OpenGL, then this could be the hot set up. Their simulators have awesome displays. Certainly worth checking out. – John
